Tea Parties

Greg’s Newsletter

Keeping the American Middle Class Informed

Ok, this is it, I’m very concerned with what I see happening to the Tea Parties. I have been involved with this campaigning stuff for about two years now and I have attended many of the Tea Party meetings. I have been there when many of them were just starting and what I see happening to them and other grassroots organizations is very disturbing to me.

First let me present an article I just received from Newsmax:

http://www.newsmax.com/InsideCover/dickarmeyteaparty/2010/08/21/id/368077?s=al&promo_code=A929-1

This article is to give you a thought that the Tea Parties have an extraordinary influence on the Republican Party. Don’t believe it folks, they are pandering as political parties always do. They will do anything to maintain their power, anything!!

Then let me tell you who the Tea Party people really are, not what the media tells you who they are. First and foremost they are American patriots, not a bunch of racists or any other negative thing you hear about them in the news. The age of most of the people in these groups are in the Baby Boomer generation. They have seen the transition from a wonderful nation whose individual efforts could have you attain the American Dream, to a country that looks to government to fix everything or the government overstepping their Constitutional authority. They are very concerned what has happened to our nation and they joined these groups to find a way or an answer to these problems our nation are experiencing.

At first they were not paid much attention to by the media or the political parties but now with the numbers growing ever since the 9/12 Project put on by Glenn Beck and others, those two million people who met in Washington last year on 9/12, woke everyone up, even though the media, even Fox who underestimated the number of people there, did everything they could to discredit the movement.

Well, after they woke up and realized there is a real movement out here that will have a real impact on the political landscape, the crap began. The media has done all it can to discredit these movements, you have seen and heard the lies, and the political system has done something quite interesting.

The Democrats and liberals have followed the same path as the media (they are one in the same), discredit them by lies and misinformation. But the Republicans chose a different course. If you can’t beat them join them but join them with the intention of instilling their current Republican mandates and ideals within these groups.

Here is the problem with this, the Republicans have lost their way a long time ago and they have become not much better than the Democrats in the spending away our future. They have also attacked our Constitutional freedoms like what is in the Patriot Act. They, along with the Democrats, are part of a political system that has allegiance to the lobbyists and special interests. If you truly think things will change, you have been fooled by the Republican Party. You may think just because I am running as an Independent I am saying these things. Nothing could be further from the truth. I have been a Republican for my entire life but when I assessed what the party has done, I had to run as an Independent for the good of the district and the nation, I did that only in January of this year. I have always held on to what use to be basic Republican principles, the Party has not.

I see the influence of the Party taking over the mind set of the Tea Parties and folks, don’t let them fool you. They will change some things that will give you an impression they are changing the way they do business, they won’t because the money which comes to them will be coming from the same sources as always. They truly will not change to the degree we need them too. The government will keep getting larger and more intrusive, I know this is the truth. They have proved it.

So I am sad to say, the Republican Party is accomplishing their goals, they have infiltrated the groups and have convinced many of them they will work for you. People, they will continue the path they always have, following what the people who give them large amounts of money in exchange for political favors, they don’t seem to know any other way. Even though the window dressing may change a little, the same old system will continue to guide the politicians and we will come up on the short end of the stick, again.

Conservative Independents are the answer, believe me folks, if we don’t start breaking away from the entrenched political system, we will never get true representation. We will continue to vote for the best of the worse or we don’t have any real choice, as in the last Presidential election, then complain why didn’t they do what they thought they would do. Does that sound familiar? It sounds familiar because that is the way the political system, as it stands now, works.

We can change it but not by holding on to hope that this next bunch of Republicans will be better that the last. Since President Reagan, when has that held true? Think folks, this is all of our future and the track record for the Republicans of late has not been a good one at all. I know in comparison to the Democrats they don’t seem all that bad but they are just as guilty as the Democrats, they have both brought this nation to its economic knees.

Ok, I am going to digress a little here: What is happening to the Tea Parties and their hope that the next batch of Republicans will do much better than the current bunch. They won’t and they will continue to represent their lobbyists and special interests before their constituents and the people so want to believe differently. It reminds me of a movie line by Jack Nicholson in A Few Good Men, “You can’t handle the truth.” It is the truth folks and we can’t afford the wait and see what they do attitude anymore.

It is up to all of us to think this thru and not just walk into the voting booth and vote for a party, you had better know what they stand for and what they have done. Remember and think about what one of our founding fathers and 1st President, George Washington said about political parties, “They serve to organize faction, to give it an artificial and extraordinary force; to put, in the place of the delegated will of the nation, the will of a party….”

545 vs 300 Million

I received this article from my neighbor, thank you Jane. This article makes you realize why myself of the 3rd District and others like Joe Leinweber Jr. of the 2nd District, after being Republicans all our lives, we changed to Conservative Independent candidates for the US House of Representatives here in Tennessee. I’ll get to the article here in a minute.

As the Primary election here in Tennessee and the General election across the nation gets closer, you have to see by what we have been experiencing over the last number of years, the major political parties have put this nation where it is today. You can try to justify to yourself why the party you choose is better than the other but in reality both parties are to blame for the issues facing our nation.

You will also try to convince yourself that if we just put new people into office under these same old political parties, things will be better. Wake up folks, after all these years these two parties have dragged this nation to its knees. The reality of all of this is the political system, as it now stands, want their power to control the government first and foremost in their minds. After lobbyists and special interests and the self serving nature of these politicians, somewhere down the list of priorities their constituents come into their mind but that only happens at election time. It’s obvious, they mostly care for us when it is time to vote, the rest of time they are serving their self interests and the economic and political pressures which guides the two parties. That is reality folks!! If you vote another system candidate, Republican or Democrat, you will vote for the same thing that happens time after time, vote for the lesser of two evils, not the people who truly want to represent you for the nation’s sake. It is time for We the People to be represented and the major political parties WILL NOT represent you, they have proven it.

People have asked me many times, “What happens to the people who go to Washington?” The answer is much simpler than you think. They may go to Congress with true intentions to work to better this country but what happens is the system, let me explain.

A freshman Congressperson goes to Washington with all these good ideas to help the country out. They get there and the system, which is cast in concrete, confronts them: “Yes freshman Congressperson, we appreciate your excitement and dedication to these issues but to maintain power in the House, you have to get reelected in two years, so your priority first is to get the financial support and get the established political system’s guidance to accomplished our goals, your issues will be looked at but first it is the parties priorities that need your attention.” From that point on you either play the game and get their goals through or you don’t play the game and you will not get any support for your agenda. In either case, the American people lose and the system continues as it has, the lobbyists and special interests win and the American people lose.

That is why I say, if you vote for a system candidate, you will be voting for more of the same, no matter how good of intentions that person you voted in has. On the other hand, the Independents work for their constituents first and foremost, not a political party. It is imperative we get as many Conservative Independents into office as we can. By showing Washington the people have had enough of what this two party system has done to our nation, things will change for We the People.

If you truly believe by voting for an Independent will just put the Democrats back into office, then We the People have already lost and the system’s rhetoric will have worked on your decision making thought processes. Think about this hard folks, this election coming in November is more important than you realize. You have seen what the system has done to this nation in just the last few administrations and what it has done in the last year to OUR nation.

THINK FOR YOURSELF, NOT WHAT A PARTY’S RETORIK IS TELLING YOU!!!!

Take the time to study what has been done to you and your Constitutional and economic freedoms. Where were the Republicans when Bush had the largest deficit in this nation’s history and passed the most egregious attack on our Constitutional freedoms called the Patriot Act? Then Obama and the Democrats take over and Dear God look at what they have done to this nation. Government intrusion into every facet of our lives, our businesses, and our nation, what the hell, and you want to give the system another chance?

It is time for a revolution in our nation and that revolution will be won or lost in the voting booth, so pick up your ballet and fight against this system that has brought this nation from the most powerful nation in the world history to the largest debtor nation in the world history. Vote for the Conservative Independents. This is our future we are voting on. If you don’t begin the fight this election cycle, this nation is in big trouble and I don’t know how we will ever turn it around by the next election cycle.

THINK ABOUT IT FOLKS, WE THE PEOPLE ARE LOSING THE BATTLE UNDER THESE CURRENT POLITCAL MACHINES BY BOTH PARTIES!!!

Now to the article which I believe is a very good account of how the system has worked for themselves, not you and me. This is an awesome article (if you have seen this before, it is a good time to refresh your memory). It is a must read to realize the real truth of our political system.

What the hell happened – 545 people vs 300 million people

This is about as clear and easy to understand as it can be – read it!!
The article below is completely neutral, …not anti republican or democrat.

Charlie Reese, a retired reporter for the Orlando Sentinel has hit the nail

Directly on the head, defining clearly who it is that in the final analysis must

Assume responsibility for the judgments made that impact each one of us every day.

It’s a short but good read. Worth the time. Worth remembering!

545 vs. 300,000,000

EVERY CITIZEN NEEDS TO READ THIS AND THINK ABOUT WHAT THIS JOURNALIST HAS SCRIPTED IN THIS MESSAGE. READ IT AND THEN REALLY THINK ABOUT OUR CURRENT POLITICAL DEBACLE.

Charley Reese has been a journalist for 49 years.
545 PEOPLE–By Charlie Reese

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them..

Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?

Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?

You and I don’t propose a federal budget. The president does.

You and I don’t have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.

You and I don’t write the tax code, Congress does.

You and I don’t set fiscal policy, Congress does.

You and I don’t control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.

One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one president, and nine Supreme Court justices equates to 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.

I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.

I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a president to do one cotton-picking thing. I don’t care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator’s responsibility to determine how he votes.

Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.

What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits….. The president can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.

The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. Who is the speaker of the House? Nancy Pelosi. She is the leader of the majority party. She and fellow House members, not the president, can approve any budget they want. If the president vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.

It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million can not replace 545 people who stand convicted — by present facts — of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can’t think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist

If the tax code is unfair, it’s because they want it unfair.

If the budget is in the red, it’s because they want it in the red …

If the Army & Marines are in IRAQ, it’s because they want them in IRAQ

If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it’s because they want it that way.

There are no insoluble government problems.

Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like “the economy,” “inflation,” or “politics” that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.

Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible.

They and they alone, have the power.

They and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses.

Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees…

We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!

Charlie Reese is a former columnist of the Orlando Sentinel Newspaper.

What you do with this article now that you have read it……… Is up to you.
This might be funny if it weren’t so darned true.
Be sure to read all the way to the end:
Tax his land,
Tax his bed,
Tax the table,
At which he’s fed.

Tax his tractor,
Tax his mule,
Teach him taxes
Are the rule.
Tax his work,

Tries to think..

If he cries
Tax his tears.

Tax his car,
Tax his gas,
Find other ways
To tax his ass.

Tax all he has
Then let him know
That you won’t be done
Till he has no dough.

When he screams and hollers;
Then tax him some more,
Tax him till
He’s good and sore.
Then tax his coffin,
Tax his grave,
Tax the sod in
Which he’s laid…

Put these words
Upon his tomb,
Taxes drove me

Concerns

Folks, I had to write this because of my true concern for the state of our nation and our future. This is not a political newsletter or an economic newsletter, it is a letter of concern for the state of our nation.

As I have been doing this political thing for over a year now, I have seen the people of our nation become more involved with the political process than ever before in my lifetime. It makes me feel so good that people are waking up and taking notice of what is happening to our nation and our people. That is what the Constitution has told us to be, as responsible citizens.

You may ask yourself how we got here and I am going to give you a little background. First of all I will tell you the old saying has never been truer than what has happened over the past number of years: “It is all about the Money.” What I mean is the influence in Washington has been so dominated by monetary influence, we have very little representation anymore.

First let me give you a quote from the late 1700s from Mayer Rothschild:
“Give me control of a nation’s money and I care not who makes the laws.” It is interesting statement, especially after seeing what the government did for the banking and financial industries.

I was in corporate America through the 80s, 90s, and the first part of the 2000s and the transition I saw happening to our industrial base was unbelievable. It went from corporate responsibility to our nation’s financial well being to bottom line profit was THE only concern. I saw where the anti trust laws were not being held to any standard, which let corporations buy each other up to control markets. I saw when foreign corporations wanted to buy up our corporate infrastructure they were given the green light. I saw tax incentives given to corporations to move our industrial base overseas or outside the country. I saw everything that could go against our economic well being, happen to our nation and our people.

Then in 1999 I saw, after all of this, the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, a bipartisan Act introduced by the Republicans and signed by a Democratic President Clinton, which created the beginning of the end for our economic well being and the end of the middle class, which this nation prospered under their economic buying power. This Act deregulated the banking industry from speculation in the financial markets. Add this to the fact that the government’s own regulatory agencies turned their back on regulating the banking and financial industries, which includes the Federal Reserve, Security Exchange Commission and most other economic regulators within the government, the totality of all of this has put us where we are today.

So I have taken Rothschild’s quote and created my own but along the same lines as he stated back in the 1700s, to give a perspective on today’s financial mentality: “Give me control of a nation’s government through economic pressures, I only care the laws are written for my benefit.”

Now we are, once again, deciding who is going to represent the people of our nation and here in lies my greatest concern. With this wonderful outpouring of our nation’s citizens concerns about our political and economic future, we are getting involved. Because over the last number of years, we trusted the government to work for us and they didn’t, they totally let the nation down for the benefit of the few. We CANNOT make that mistake again!!

The Tea Parties and other grassroots organizations are now being targeted by both parties, for their benefit. The Democrats are vilifying them to make everyone think we are a bunch of nuts running around spewing racial slurs, homophobic, right wing nuts, and many other things that make them look as ridiculous as they sound because we know who we are and so do they and they don’t like it. We the People believe in our Constitution and a free enterprise system that works for all who challenges ourselves in making a better life for ourselves. Not relying on government to take care of us.

Then the Republicans are all of a sudden jumping on the band wagon and claiming they are the true representation of the Tea Parties. Where were they when they too turned their backs on the Constitution and the free enterprise system and pushed things like the Patriot Act, undeclared wars, record deficits, and unregulated banking and financial industries? Now they are trying to be the party representing the Tea Parties, where does that align with you, me, and the goals of We the People, the Constitution, and a true free enterprise system? Where were they before the citizens of our nation decided they have had enough and we aren’t going to take it anymore? Servicing the special interests, as usual. Now all of a sudden they are patriots, come on folks, what you are seeing is political maneuvering, not true commitment of either party for the people.

As I have stated, doing this political thing for over a year now and have listen to the Republicans speak, I have found some things out that is glowingly clear and that is none of them truly have the basic problem in hand and that is economy, how to create jobs in private industry, what to attack in the economic system to correct the inequities that have been created by both parties, and most of all how to govern by the Constitution.

Both parties legislate laws instead of amending the Constitution for the good of the nation, why, because they know the laws they legislate would not pass the 2/3rds criteria setup by the Constitution to truly make it the law of the land. It is how they have gotten around our Constitution and how the special interests have influenced the government for their benefit, not ours.

So in the upcoming elections, make sure you know the voting record of the people you are interested in or what the people running for office backgrounds are, not the rhetoric they are spewing today. It is no longer a Democrat and Republican issue, it is an issue of the people you are putting into office and you had better pick them wisely. If you think if they don’t do what we think they should do, in Congress, we can vote them back out in two years, think again, look at what Obama has done in just one year. This is your chance to change the direction of this nation for the betterment of all of us but if you think it is just by putting in another one of the two parties to control the government is the answer, then we have already lost. The established political system will still be in place and once again they win. This is not a football game where my team has to win over the other, it is the future of our nation and the choices we make, in this election cycle, are more important than most of us realize.

Independent Minds

I have been informing you for the last couple of years about the economic issues facing the nation and I am going to continue but for this newsletter I am going to tell you my concern for the leadership and potential leadership in the mid term November elections and beyond. As I have been speaking and attending many grassroots organizations, I keep hearing the same thing. We don’t want a third party, well folks, how has the two parties been working for you and the nation?

I would like you to think about something. As we as a nation have voted, we typically get upset with one party or the other for their responses to the nations’ issues. The problem I have seen by both parties and how we react to them is by voting in the other party because of some major issue or issues which the majority of people didn’t like. So out they go. Then the next party takes over and they do something the majority of people don’t like and out they go. The end result of this back and forth voting, we the people, citizens of the United States of America, have to shoulder the burden of the issues they cause. We trade bad for bad and vote for the best of the worst. This cycle must stop for the good of our nation and our people. The two parties have been so influenced by the lobbyist and special interests, we the people have very little representation in Washington, anymore.

Think about this, the Constitution was written to protect the lives and freedoms of the PEOPLE, not responding to the highest bidder, which the political parties seem to have forgotten. Our founding fathers warned us about putting a party ahead of the nation. We must, for the sake of our future, bring in a party of representation for the people. That is why I have, after my entire life being a Republican, became Independent. My conservative values are the same as they have always been, the party has moved away from those values we Republicans have held dear to our hearts. We need Independents in office representing the people first on their list of priorities, not a political party. They tell you they work for us but look at the state of the nation. If they were truly working for the people, we wouldn’t be facing all of these current issues which are hurting this nation, as never before.

This is what George Washington warned us about following a political party over the nation:
“They [political parties] serve to organize faction, to give it an artificial and extraordinary force; to put, in the place of the delegated will of the nation, the will of a party, often a small but artful and enterprising minority of the community.”

Never truer than today, we have seen how divisive the nation has become over these political parties and their economic and political influences that have directed these parties, which has caused our nation to be where it is at today. It is our nation that is in trouble and both political parties are at fault. It is time to turn our nation around and have the political system work for the nation, not a political party and its priorities. Now more than ever, we must look to further the successful goals of the nation and our people. That can only be accomplished by Independent thinking minds, truly working for the nation, not minds directed by a political party and their influences.

Independent Political Party

Folks, if I wasn’t so dedicated to our nation, I would be on the verge of giving up on the run for Congress. As I have seen in this year plus of campaigning, the “system” is well entrenched and then there is people like myself who seem to have little chance of winning because of me being an Independent. My values and ideals are the same as they always have been, as I have been a life long Republican but the Republican Party has lost its way. Our founding father warned us about becoming too supportive of a political party over our nation but it is obvious we haven’t listened.

Knowing that both parties are influenced by special interests and not we the people, we still think we can change the parties first, instead of a new direction for the political system. Even if we could get most of them out of Washington, the ones left will be in charge of the committees, run both the House, and the Senate. Then there is the bureaucracy itself of unelected power brokers. It is a system that needs to be striped of all of its power and a new one put in place, which includes many aspects of the lobbying system. That won’t be done with the political system now controlling Washington and our nation.

The way to begin this process is the states need to stand up to the Federal Government and tell them to get out of our business and stop mandating direction for our states. It will take governors with real foresight and determination to do this but with a political system that is compromised by these special interests, how can it be done? I know there are a few brave governors in our nation that are trying to stand against Washington but how many really can make it happen? Being our system has become infiltrated with many self serving politicians, the task seem insurmountable but not impossible.

I know the American spirit is alive and well in our nation because of the citizen’s involvement in the past couple of years. Things like the Tea Parties and the grassroots organizations have shown Washington, the people are getting tired of what this system has done to our nation. The problem is, both parties have seen the nation’s discourse and are now infiltrating these grassroots organizations to give the appearance of change when in reality they are influencing them for their gains. For instance, some Tea Party groups are saying they are not for a third party. That is like our founding fathers saying, we don’t like the King of England but will still work within the system he created. No they changed everything and became INDEPENDENT of that system. But some where along the way we have lost that independent thinking and are following a party system that has proven itself a total failure for the American people. It truly makes no sense to me. Is it the fear of the unknown, the discomfort of being called something other than a Republican or Democrat, what is it?

To make the changes required, it is going to take people to divorce themselves from the parties and begin a new. That new will be truly governing by the ORIGINAL Constitution, not by this new Constitution that is being promoted by certain groups. Where did this idea come from? How do you think that would work out for the nation, knowing how corrupt the current system and its influences are? Wake up America, this is our future we are playing with here and what gives you the true thought of true change out of this current two party system, this is more wishing than what their proven track record has shown.

I guess my engineering background is showing. My pragmatism and basing results and findings on facts and opinions based on common sense and those facts is why I feel so strongly about the inability of changing the current system. We all agree on one basic fact and we all know the system has to change for us, so why not focus our efforts on really changing the system as our founding fathers did because we are at that point in our nation as our founding fathers were. We are being directed by economic and political powers that have much more power than we the people have in Washington. The power is with all of us and not political parties. The real change can only come from us, not this current political system of Republican and Democrat.

Final note: I would like to thank the National Guard and Tsgt Bill Fields for hosting me, my son Mike, and five other friends at the Bristol Motor Speedway this weekend at the Nationwide NASCAR race. They were very gracious and they fed us some great meals, gave us access to the entire track, and could have been their guests on Sunday for the Sprint Cup race also but had to come back home. What a great track to watch a race and I am an avid NASCAR fan and would have probably been able to meet my favorite driver on Sunday, Dale Earnhardt Jr., he is sponsored by the National Guard. What about that number 88!! I was also a huge fan of his father. I know he is having issues this year but he will be just fine. Thank you again National Guard and the people who were so gracious to us.

Lobbying Reform

As our government gets more invasive into every detail of our nation, I believe we are seeing the true impact of the lobbying power directing our government. We are seeing all of this “change” is for economic gains by special interests, not for the good of the nation as a whole.

From the health care issues, the environmental issues, to the financial issues, there are people and corporations that are making tons of money from the results of their economic pressures they are putting on our government. What is really the worst of all of this is, the politicians are willing to sell their souls to maintain their position in government.

Until we put people into office that have 100% dedication to the nation as a whole, we will continue this downward spiral for the people of our nation while the economic powerful make gains for their self serving positions in power. This has to stop and if you think your person in Washington is above the rest and working for you, forget it they are not, they are working for those who finance their campaigns for re-election, monetary gains, and power for themselves.

This video will give you an idea of just how this mentality of economic power influence and socialism creeping into our nation, is pervasive with the H1N1 virus issue.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a3FdOwtRV6c&feature=player_embedded

It isn’t just this issue but look at the banking and financial industries too, for the influence of the economic power which has broke our nation’s coffers while saving the banking and financial industries bottom lines and stock holders. These are just a couple of examples of the economic influences that have changed things for the good of the one, not the good of the nation.

The real answer to all of this is true lobbying reform. That may seem like a mundane thing at this point but here in lies the root of the problem, economic self serving influences directing our nation’s laws, regulations, and policies. Until we truly control it and make it transparent, we will continue to see those influences direct our nation for their advantage. That is why in my platform I want the lobbyists to produce an “Economic Impact Statement” where they have to publicly declare what they are lobbying for, the cost of it, and the impact to our nation as a whole.

Another thing that is just as important is to truly restrict the amount of money flowing into our election process. While you and I individually are restricted to $2400 max contributions, organizations like 527s http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/527_Organization and other soft money avenues have almost an unlimited access to the coffers of people being elected to office. Who do you think that person being elected to office will listen to first, you with 1 vote and a max of $2400 donation limit or a lobbyist who has unlimited funds to buy what they and the politician want? With elections now a days being so expensive to run, the answer is obvious. I am not saying they are all like that but obviously the majority of them or we wouldn’t be seeing these major critical issues facing our nation.

This all sounds good to begin controlling the lobbying process but the people who have to make the laws and vote for them are the very people who are benefiting from this current process. The only way we can hope to control it is to put people into office that truly have the nation’s best interest’s number one on their minds. I am one of those people.

Follow up on the G20 Criminals

Greg’s Newsletter

Keeping the American Middle Class Informed

*Yes, we can but No, we shouldn’t

As a follow up to my last newsletter “Criminals of the G20”, as I explained where the Central Bankers and Finance Ministers of the G20 met to regulate the world’s economic system, now in this article, the leaders of the G20 will now propose the “NEW WORLD ECONOMIC REGULATION”. Including, of course, our President:

http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601087&sid=aNRS9zQAgnBQ

Don’t blame this one on Obama, it has been in the works for a long time. If you remember in my past newsletters, since 2005, I have been warning as many people as I can about this happening. Now it is truly on the table and the marketing, by the international bankers and the power elite, will be in full force until it happens. We are seeing the public transformation of our sovereign free enterprise, banking, and financial systems being melted into a world economic system controlled by a group of international bankers and power elite.

You remember every time you see the G20 meet, you see just little news snippets of the demonstrations where they are meeting and the news article reflections of the fringe types and just plain nuts demonstrating around their meetings? Look at how we were treated in the media for the 9/12 demonstration in Washington last weekend, notice any similarity?

The melting of the United States of America into this one world system of economic control is heading for the goal line and for the economically powerful, it is going to be a touchdown. It is time for a goal line stand and demand from our elected representatives to stop worrying about their careers and fight for us, the true United States of America.

* I want to thank Dennis Wolfe for the collaboration on this slogan. It is a slogan that will gain nation wide acceptance for we who don’t want anymore of this and every other thing that comes out of Washington that benefits the powerful and not We the People.

The G20 Criminals

**** WARNING CONTAINS ADULT LANGUAGE! ****

I want to tell you up front, this newsletter is a bit weird for me but know I haven’t lost my mind. I am just so upset with what is going on my blood pressure is making my blood veins in my neck look like tree roots. This newsletter is a bit long but will give you the picture of why our economic issues are what they are.

As we continue to discuss the pros and cons of the health care issues, in the media and seem to be on everyone’s minds, I continue to watch what the economic powers are doing. The real economic powers are continuing to do their thing. September 4-5 the Finance Ministers and Central Bankers of the G-20 met London to discuss the current world economic situation. As you know I like to keep tabs on what the Finance Ministers and Central Bankers of this elite group of economic power brokers are up to. This elite power group is responsible for 80% of the world’s economic system. Remember when all is said and done, follow the money. We can discuss and worry about all of these different issues facing the world but the real “bottom line” is “financial stability”. Without it nothing else can effectively be accomplished.

As I follow this group, my intentions are to keep people informed to insure all of us have “financial stability”, not just economically powerful which directs much of the world’s economic system. I’ll give you a couple of examples of what they are proposing to do to correct economic issues that were once corrected but the economic regulations were reduced or eliminated for their advantage. Now they are suggesting some what tighter controls after the nations bailed them out and now re-regulating them with softer and “international” controls on our nation’s economic system.

What a great game for these power hungry blood suckers, remove the regulations, maximize their economic power, drive the economic system over the edge, have the nations bail their greedy asses out, and buy out the weaker financial and banking institutions at bargain basement prices to increase their economic power. Then to top it all off, they used the world’s nations coffers to give them the capital to do it. Now after all of this and they have attained a new level of economic dominance, they want to softly re-regulate the economic system, with their self serving input to these new kinder and softer regulations with “international” control. What a bunch of BULL S—!!!! These are criminals of the worst kind and they need to be rooted out and prosecuted, as any other serial rapists would be prosecuted. It is the wealth our nation and other nations around the world they have raped.

It all began before the market crash of 1929 when, at that time, the banks began over speculating on the stock market until the market could not sustain the over valued market and it crashed (sound familiar?)

Then in 1933, when our government actually had some balls and weren’t own by the highest bidder, they passed a law call the Glass-Steagall Act which compartmentalized the banking and financial systems.

http://www.investopedia.com/articles/03/071603.asp

This restricted the banks from investing in speculative markets and they had to use the actual money in their vaults, by their customers, to make loans and other business banks are suppose to do.

Then the economic elite (the largest banks, insurance, and brokerages) tried ten times from 1933 to 1999 to get rid of this law and spent over $200 million on Congress to get rid of it. Then in 1999 it finally worked, a law introduced by the Republicans and signed into law by the Democratic President Clinton passed the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gramm-Leach-Bliley_Act

This law, once again, allowed banks to merge with investment companies and begin to invest in the speculative investment markets, which in 1929 caused the Great Depression. This law also forced banks to reduce their lending guidelines and give loans to economically high risk customers. That wasn’t all bad for them because they knew that Fannie May and Freddie Mac would stand behind these bad loans. (And they did along with the Federal Reserve buying up to this point over $750 billion in toxic assets with newly printed money)

Well, we all know what happened AGAIN, the bottom fell out of the world’s economic system.

Now these central bankers want to re-regulate the banking and financial systems but with a softer and an “INTERNATIONAL” regulatory body. I have written about this before but it looks like it is going to happen. It won’t happen if we write, call, email, or what ever means available to contact our so called representatives to stop this dilution of our economic system into a world economic regulating system.

http://www.reuters.com/article/companyNewsAndPR/idUSN02865820090902

Just so you know, with all of these economic issues facing our nation and the world, there still has not been any re-regulation of the basic cause of this recession/depression and that is the speculative aspects of the markets by banks and by the ratio of asset value versus the amount of speculation against that asset.

Once we let our autonomy of our financial and banking system go to an international regulatory body, we have truly lost a great deal of control of our nation.

The meeting of the leaders of the G 20 will be held in Pittsburgh PA September 24 – 25. These are the member nations of the G20:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/G20_industrial_nations

This is not a Republican or Democratic thing, this is the international bankers doing all they can do to control the world’s economic system by their rules, not for the good of our nation. I have studied these people for over 25 years and it seems they are about to attain a major goal in their pursuit of global power and control. That is to put 80% of the world economic system, through the G 20, under their regulatory control and direction. Folks, this is not paranoia but a realism that is facing us and if we let this happen, we will be relegated to just another country in a world wide economic system, with no more power economically than any other nation in this G 20 group. We will truly be nothing more than a resource for their continuing and ever increasing economic power.

Unlike before in WWI and WWII where we had to fight to keep away world dominance by Germany and Japan, these people will attain the same goal through the economic and political systems, by the combining of the world economic systems under their control.

As far as our nation is concerned, as I wrote about in my 2005 Essay, The US Becoming a Third World Nation Is Imminent” the US has to reduce its economic prowess in its middle class while bringing the third world’s middle class’s economies up to establish a world wide economic system. This as we are seeing, is being done before our eyes by the almost total disregard for the American citizens, with the exclusive advantages to the banking and financial systems. I am not the only person recognizing this attack on the American middle class, take a look at this video:

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/huff-tv/arianna-on-too-big-to-fai_b_285785.html

If we want controls back on our economic system, the first major step would re-implement the Glass-Steagall Act of 1933, as I outlined above with a link to its history. Not let these economic elite establish the financial criteria for their own advantage. It worked very well until 1999 when the controls were taken off the banking and financial industries and they took advantage of this un-regulated economic system, look at the results. It took only a hand full of years to cripple our nation and other nation’s economic systems.

One final thing, last Saturday in Washington DC was personally one of the most inspirational moments in my life. Where the average American came to Washington to show their displeasure with what is happening to our nation. No matter what the news media has done to down play and marginalize this protest it was, I believe, the beginning of our nation taking back the control of our nation for its people and the hell with the self serving economic powers that are trying to direct this nation and the other nations of the G 20 for their own goals.

Press Release

Greg Goodwin candidate for US Congress for the 3rd District of Tennessee

I have now met 3 of my fellow competitors in my run for the 3rd District for the great state of Tennessee seat in the U.S. Congress. They are very talented politicians and I have been impressed with their presentations. Herein lies the problem, they are experienced politicians and their presentations and answers to the public are very political in nature. We have always heard the politicians promise the District many things but when they get to Washington, it is as if they didn’t hear what we wanted from them. They become part of the “System” and we the people become secondary, except at election time of course.

This is where I am different. I am not a politician but a citizen who wants to represent you in our nation’s capital. With my 25 years studying the economic system behind our political system, I know how it works and it works quite well for lobbyists but not so for us, the people they are supposed to represent. I also will use my 30 plus years as a Research and Process Engineer to bring pragmatic and common sense to the decisions made for our 3rd District and our nation.

I am not looking for a political career but look to represent the people of the 3rd District, with truth and honesty, for a maximum of 2 terms (four years). I want to join other like minded people in Congress to turn the way Washington does business for betterment of our constituencies, not for the self-serving nature our Federal Government has become, through the economic influences the political structure now has allegiance to.

So here is my challenge to you, if you want the status quo, elect one of these experienced politicians but if you want true representation for our 3rd District, elect me, Greg Goodwin. With what I have been seeing, what has happened to our nation? I want to use my expertise from my study of the “System” for our benefit, not Washington’s self serving, power expanding, and economically influenced way of doing business.

The Family and Economic Power

I am back from vacation and ready to, once again, expose the inequities that are facing our nation’s people thru my newsletter and campaign for Congress. This vacation was a true realization for me and the rest of my family, (it was a family reunion for my 93 year old father). What that realization was for all of the 70 plus family members was that all of the hassles and issues in today’s world, the family is the root of our existence both personally and with our nation. The strength of the family is stronger than whatever adversities we face. I know we hear a lot about the family but when you have an experience such as we had, it was a true blessing for all of us.

For you who have been reading my newsletter for sometime now, this is another person who “gets it”, as I have been writing about since 2005. This article, by James Quinn with the Market Oracle, is where he compares the current state of our nation with George Orwell’s Animal Farm. This guy has put together an article that has hit the nail on the head, it is an awesome read:

http://www.marketoracle.co.uk/Article12295.html

This article reflects the knowledge that I have had for a long time now, where we may have a two party system, the economic control is equal with both parties. While the public argues the issues with the Republicans and Democrats, the economic powers behind our political system continue down the consistent path of gaining increased power for themselves.

It started in earnest in 1999 when Clinton signed into law, sponsored by the Republicans, de-regulating the banking and financial systems. It continued thru the Bush years by not only the de-regulation but by virtually no oversight on the banking and financial systems. Then came the Patriot Act which was the most egregious attack on our personal freedoms in our nation’s history. The continued reduction of Anti Trust Laws controlling monopolies until we have market control capitalism instead of a true free enterprise system. Until today where the government is taking control and attempting to control all of the major economic structures of our economy, health care (12% to 15% of our nation’s GDP), energy (cap and trade taxation and governmental control of how we live), corporations (banking, insurance, and auto manufacturing), and many other things to lengthy to go into now. These things happened throughout both political parties control of the Administrations and Congresses.

It is my promise to you my readers, the 3rd District of Tennessee, and the nation that I will dedicate my life to do all I can do to advance the goals of our people and reduce and eliminate the affect the economic powers have on the legislation that focuses the power of our nation into an ever smaller group of economic power brokers.

Because I am not a politician but a citizen just like everyone else in our nation, you can believe what I say for our sake.
